Simple dressups from scraps of fabric and ribbon

Use you scraps of fabric to make a simple skirt

What you'll need:

  • Scraps of fabric

  • Thick elastic to go around a child's waist

  • Small flame from candle (if fabric is synthetic and requires the ends to be melted, otherwise, sewing the edges to prevent fraying is sufficient)

  • Sewing machine (or needle and thread will do)

Carefully melt/singe the edges of the fabric scraps or sew the edges to prevent the fabric from fraying
Sew ends of elastic together to form a loop and attach fabric scraps to the elastic.

Finished!

Another option is to use ribbons. Remember to melt/singe the ends of the ribbon to prevent fraying.
Fold ribbon in half and attach ribbon to elastic.

Finished!
